Class Types

Restorative

These classes are great for anyone who might be sore from a previous workout or has sustained injury and looking for a low impact yoga. The class moves at a slower pace than Vinyasa classes and poses are sustained for longer periods, but not as long as Yin. Clases start of with gentle movements and then proceed to sustained holds. Wrapping up the class with at 10-15 min long Savasana with Sound Healing.

Foundation

Understand the fundamentals and foundations of yoga, including Asana (positions), Vinyasa (flow), Pranayama (breath), and Drishti (gaze/focus). Great for those new to yoga and for intermediate and advanced students that want to deepen their yoga practice

Vinyasa

Usually an all levels/mixed levels class, unless indicated, these classes are great for anyone who is just starting off with Yoga. A higher intensity than Gentle/Restorative but not as intense as Power. My Vinyasa classes usually hit all pose families to give a more holistic practice. Taught to feel good music at tempos matching the natural arch of the class, these classes should have you feeling great at the end. May be indicated as Vinyasa or Vinyasa Flow.

Baptiste

Taught through the Baptiste methodology, this is an accessible yet challenging physical practice, which helps to open possibilities for students both on and off the mat. Using Drishti (gaze/focus), Ujjayi (breath), Bandhas (locks), and Tapas (internal heat) while in Vinyasa (flow), students will be empowered to push their practice to new levels.

Power

Dynamic powerful sequences that will get your heart pumping and your sweat on. Class is taught with fun energetic feel good high energy music. I always encourage work on headstand, handstands, and/or arm balances in these flows. If you are new to yoga, I recommend doing a few Vinyasa classes first or a private session to get familiar with some of the poses. May be indicated as Power Yoga, Power Vinyasa, Power Flow.

Yoga Belly

Usually an all levels/mixed levels class, unless indicated, these classes are great for anyone who is just starting off with Yoga. A higher intensity than Gentle/Restorative but not as intense as Power. Yog Belly classes always start of wtih 15-20 min of core workout followed by the a mixed level flow following. Depending on the attendce of the class the intensity is modified based on the students in the class.

YBX

Heated

Classes marked "heated" will be heated to a room temperature between 85 to 88 degrees fahrenheit for the first part of the class. Heat is turned off at some point and the students body heat sustains the rooms temperatures. Temperatures vary based on studio.

Acro

Partner Yoga fun for new or experienced acro yogis. No partner needed, no experience needed.

Assisting

Classes marked "assisting" indicate that I am not leading the practice. I will be walking around the room assisting students giving hands on adjustments and offering help.

Community

Community classes are offered FREE, donation based, or a discounted rate. Price varies on an event by event basis. Click on the calendar event to get more details.

Private

Events on the calendar marked "private" indicate a private one-on-one, private group, or corporate class. Inquire if you are interested in your own private sessions.
