Graduating from University of the Pacific with a BS in Computer Engineering, I’ve been a software engineer by trade for the past 12 years. I discovered yoga a few years back as a way to help manage my stress and to keep active during the rainy winter months. Starting off with doing one yoga class a week at a local studio, I quickly fell in love with practice and started to explore different studios and instructors. I then started doing yoga multiple times a week and trying different types from Aerial to Acro to Yin to Power. I learned quickly the vastness of yoga and all it has to offer. Not too long after decided to take a leap of faith and take teacher training to take my practice to the next level.Completing my Power Yoga Teacher Training from Vibe Yoga in Redwood City under the direction of Jonathan Rickert, I decided to take a break from my tech career and work full time as a yoga teacher. It’s been an amazing journey as I continue to unlock more in my yoga practice and in the process understand more about myself.
My teaching is very alignment focused with emphasis on understanding the biomechanics that go on in our bodies to make student’s practice more enjoyable and safe. I like to lead my practices with fun, energetic, and intense sequences that have students feeling great when they leave my class. I am curerntly RYT-200 certified and working towards my RYT-500 in te near future.
